The Best Supplies for Starting your Placenta Encapsulation business
I have spent a few years curating this list. I found myself taking over 6 hours to encapsulate a single placenta. Now It takes me about 4 hours total of labor! I spent time finding every way to optimize my encapsulation process so that I can encapsulate placentas in the shortest amount time with the highest quality performance. Trust me, this list will save you time and money in the long run.
The starter pack:
$79 200 pill encapsulator machine (most placentas make about 200-300 capsules so getting a bigger encapsulator saves so much time)
$90 Blender (this blender is easy to clean. The placenta powder can get in the base when blending but with a spray of water and disinfectant, it comes out squeeky clean!)
$19 Cutting board (Make sure to choose a 12” x18” or bigger. Any smaller and the placenta blood has leaked on the counter for me! One with a rubber grip and juice grooves is the way to go)
$170 Sharp knife (when choosing a sharp knife, you can’t go wrong with a Wustoff knife that will last forever.
$10 Rubber gaskets and smoothie lid cleaners (helps make sure you have a replacement from ware and tear. I replace mine at least once a year. The brush and hook help you take the rubber gasket out easily while preserving the ring so that you can scrub inside and get any hidden placenta powder! A must have.)
$280 Dehydrator (this dehydrator is by far the best quality and longest lasting. You will never have to replace this dehydrator. Make sure you get a dehydrator that goes up to 165 degress like this one does in order to kill and GBS or chorioamnionitis bacteria a mom may have had during labor to prevent it from spreading through the vitamins)

$184 - 4 boxes of these amber Glass bottles (I use about 2 bottles per placenta which fits about 200 vitamins)

$42 - 6 boxes Rubber gloves (these are my favorite. They fit very snug on my hands and have a great texture. Tight enough to unscrew capsules easily and quickly.)
$24 - 2 bags of these Gelatin capsules (I love gelatin for the gentle effect on the gut but you can also try out these vegetarian ones here. Size 0 is my favorite, nice and small and the size of a typical multi vitamin. The size 0 were too big in my opinion. You can also choose to have clear or solid white capsules as well. In all of the placentas I have encapsulated, only 2 people have asked for the white capsules. So I just offer the clear ones now because they are so popular!
$192 - 12 bottles of Non-toxic Thyme disinfectant spray (say no to bleach! And implement a safer disinfectant into your encapsulation routine. I buy 6 a few times a year)
